  Hey there, I'm Lauren – the driving force behind Something Blue! What started as my quirky passion project has now become my full-blown adventure in orchestrating seamless wedding days. Blame it on my husband, who gently suggested I redirect my endless vacation planning obsession into something more constructive. Turns out, my knack for planning and organization gives Santiago from Brooklyn Nine-Nine a run for her money! My mission? Making sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch – well, except for those intentionally planned ones, of course.

I've always been the go-to gal for planning and logistics, but it was my own wedding day that truly ignited this journey. Picture this: last-minute rain-induced venue shuffle, indoors instead of under the stars. But you know what? Rain brings luck, or so they say. And yes, I do offer a special service – advising guests that they don't need to remind you about the 'good luck' rain on your big day!

After moving to Pittsburgh a few years ago, my roots have grown deep in this city I now proudly call home. With my husband and our three 'children,' Kimber, Charlie, and Reyja (aka our lovable canine companions), life is a whirlwind of wedding dreams and doggie escapades. 

My passion for travel has taken me far and wide, opening up a treasure trove of cultural experiences that I happily infuse into your wedding plans. Whether it's mapping out a destination-themed event or finding creative touches inspired by far-off lands, my global adventures keep things exciting.

Having lived across the East Coast and even across the pond in England, I've learned the art of connecting with folks from all walks of life.
